Anyone have any simple Christmas craft ideas using food?

The children are 5 & 6 years old. Decorating cookies? Sandwiches? We do not have enough time for gingerbread houses. Thank you.

Buy some precut Christmas cookies and some colored
decorating frosting. Bake the cookies and have a blast with the
children as you decorate the cookies.

I have a great one. Make sugar cookie dough and roll it into thin ropes. Shape the ropes into different shapes. Put wax paper on a cookie sheet and put the shapes on there. Smash up some different colored suckers in different bags and pour the different colors inside the cookie shapes. Bake them in the oven like you would a regular cookie. When they are done they will be like stained glass windows only edible. You can buy the cookie dough premade at the store to speed up the process.

Its nice to hear a parent that still wants to spend time with their children.

u take apple sauce and cinimin and mix it togetehr until u have a spicy dough, then u roll it out with a roller and use the gingerbread man cookie cutter to cut out shapes. then u poke a hole in the gingerbread mans head with a pencil. u let them dry and when they are hard, you string ribben through their heads and tie it in a knot. then u can paint them if you want. a sweet spicy smellign christmas tree ornament :) ♥

My grandson is in Cub Scouts and that they did an interest that replaced into style of lovable. They each and each took off a shoe and traced around their foot. Then they traced each and each hand. The foot will become the face of a reindeer and the palms grow to be the antlers. Glue on a cotton ball or pompom for a nostril and wiggly eyes. with a sprint help with tracing and reducing, it may artwork for kindergarten babies.
