Can I order things online if I live in Serbia? Is it at all possible to get your shipment outside the US?

I'd really love to shop for things on US web sites like I used to do when I was in the US. I'm just concerned if it's possible and how it would work. I don't even know how much they would charge me for customs.

only if the website has a paying alternative other than pay pal, since pay pal doesn't work in Serbia for some reason...
