Looking at getting my partner for one for Xmas but we have every gadget you can think of so why should I buy one other then to play games. Already got a PC to do that.

If your partner like video games, I would say yes.

PC's go hand in hand with Xbox 360's
RPG's and 1st person shooters are usually better on PC's.

Racing, fighting, action/adventure games and sports are usually better on consoles. (note: the 360 does have the great 1st person shooters also...)

I've been playing video games from the beginining...and the 360 is by far the best system available yet.

Reasons why:
1. Most next-gen games available.
2. Graphics processor is the most powerful available, yes even more powerful than the PS3.
3. Almost every game made for the 360 is multiplayer over the internet with voice capabilities (really helps the expirence).
4. Value...the cost of the 360 and games is not a lot when compared to a PC.
5. Quality of games are very high.
6. Has lots of extras built in....stream music from a PC, download full length movies and watch them, Xbox live arcade, etc

Well, some games they have on the 360 are sold exclusively to that system. Take Gears of War for instance, and that happens to be one of the most wanted games out right now. Some people prefer a console over a PC because they're better with a controller. That's exactly how my best friend is... He'd rather play on a PC with a controller, which there are controllers for PC. lol

Plus, you can't do 4 players on one screen for PC. That's another advantage of consoles.

will xbox 360 runs speedier, has a significantly better portraits card. with xbox u can make ur own avatar, earn awards to customise ur avatar, the controller feels extra organic round ur hand, the button format is larger. The xbox has a FPS sequence noted as Halo it truly is a lot of relaxing to play and the hot Halo 4 replaced into chosen because the purely right xbox sport of 2012. The PS3 has a good type of performance themes and the controller sucks purely please do no longer purchase it. even with the reality that do no longer purchase a console yet because the Xbox 720 is coming i imagine this Christmas and the ps4 also, and the ps4 seems to have given the 720 alot to stay as a lot as and Microsoft continues to be no longer preserving something extra about the 720 yet do no longer purchase a console yet, purely wait.

it all comes down to wht kinds of games ur partner is into... if ur partner is into games dat are relaxing and ur partner can unwind to the Wii is the best option out.. although u may have alot of trouble gettin hold of one for Christmas... if ur partner likes games such as Call Of Duty ( in other words... games like first person shoota's, football, and so on ) den the 360 is the option for ur partner... the graphics are amazing, the gameplay is amazing and the games are also amzin... although ur in England or anywhere in Europe... u mite wanna think about waiting for the PS3 to come out in March... although for XMAS dis year its out of the Wii and the 360

PC graphis is not great as Xbox 360, and Xbox can give you full graphic enjoyment. Did your places easy to get Xbox game or not and which game is cheaper also play apart. because this will be major decision to buy this Xbox or not.

Yes, if you have enough money to buy one and still have enough money left over. If not then no.
But don't turn it 360 degrees, whatever you do =P
Do his friends have XBox 360s? If so, he can talk to them using the headset and play games with them, too.
