The Black Death was the most terrifying thing that happened to people in Europe in the Middle Ages. It was perhaps the most terrifying thing until the dropping of the first atomic bomb. The Black Death killed millions of men, women and children all over Europe. It arrived at the end of 1347 and lasted until 1350. It spread quite slowly and that made it even more frightening. Kings, merchants, doctors and peasants all knew that it was coming and no one was able to do anything about it

It was a plague that came about in the 1400sand almost half the population decreased. During this time poeple had a strong dislike trowd the jews and blamed them for the plaguebut really it was caused by rats and fleas.
