I am sorry to say but I will have to tell my real purpose i.e. I want to be a hacker (not cracker) working for security of systems & finding crackers & their passwords . Which language will be the best to learn if I want to excel in this area ?

If you can master c/c++ then any other language will be easy to learn. I personally started with pascal, then c then c++. So I am biased to C/C++. Roughly any language you'll find easy grasp. Depends what area in programming you are headed.
If looking into c/c++ here are some areas to start

Whoever told you that C and C++ will leave you a "minor" is an idiot to be perfectly frank. C and C++ are the most fundamentally important languages out there... what do you think Windows is programmed in?!
I would recommend making some decisions about what you want to program before choosing a language. Every language has its purpose, and its strengths and weaknesses. For example, if you want to make games, then C/C++ is the way to go (or possible C#). If you want to make web applets (and not a lot more) then try Java. If you are interested in developing web apps then Python or PHP might be of interest. Basically, it's a choice that only you can make - there is no right or wrong way to start coding.

p.s. Learn to program first, think about hacking later. Hacking is a losers game anyways - nobody is impressed, and lets face it, you only want to be a hacker because it sounds "cool". I've got news for you - only 12 year old boys think that.

VB is syntactically easier for someone without a lot of programming experience, but is limited to use on Microsoft Windows systems. C# is a little trickier, but has the advantage of being usable on Windows, Mac, Linux, or pretty much any other systems you come across. I'd say that if you're interested in building a foundation, and know you're going to need to learn more languages anyway, start with VB, get that firmly under your belt, then learn C#. You can be gainfully employed with VB while you learn C#, then with both languages, you should be able to get a higher paying job.

Well it really depends on what you want to program. If you want to create online games then Java would be a great start. If you want to make applications for Windows based computers then Visual Basic would be an easy start. If you have a Mac, Python might be o.k. but idk about it because I don't own a Mac. But for ease of use and for beginners then I suggest Visual Basic or the .Net programming applications as they are just about the easiest to use.

Hacking made easy. Read the following article and you'll find your answer ;)
By the way, for each and every purpose C and C++ are the best languages as they can be used in both high and low level programmings.
And the second one is an article on ethical hacking by IBM

its said right that c and c++ are just the beginning languages , but still I will suggest you to begin with them only as they are the base of programming and as you want to be a master guy , you should know all the languages

I started learning how to program by learning how to use DOS. Alot of dos commands are used in C or C++ library header files. I think DOS is a cool to learn for beginner programmers to get a basic idea of syntax that is used in C header library.
