Since this is the philosophy board let's try a response from the tradition.
The Oracle at Delphi proclaimed Socrates was the wisest man in Athens. Incredulous, Socrates set out to find someone wiser than himself. So he questioned all the great politicians, poets, artists, etc. on their areas of expertise. What he found was that these people, while often quite smart, could not see the contradictions in their beliefs or articulate the reasons for these beliefs. However, they would not admit these limitations - they still believed they "knew it all." They were geniuses, but they were not wise.
Socrates discovered that while he did not know everything there was to know, he at least knew this, understood the significance of this, and used it as a the basis for a spiritual quest to grow wiser. Not to "know more," although that is a great byproduct of the quest for wisdom, but to understand how to live well.
So the question becomes not "are you a genius?" but "are you wise?" and on Socrates' account the answer would probably be (at best) "never wise enough."

Wow, cross stitch kelly has a really deep & meaningful answer! I like it.
I think no-one will ever be truly genius, we can't possibly even know 1 millionth of everything in this whole entire universe.
Some are smarter than average, some aren't, some are just average. Some acheive lots & reach goals others haven't & inspire others to do the same, but is it really genius?
I like to think I'm very aware & open minded academically, I'm fairly smart, learn quickly & am able to hold a good discussion or debate about a topic, but genius? No, I don't think so!

Nope. My IQ is only 134. It has dropped a couple points over the last 30 years but I know more now than I did then. I wouldn't want to be one anyway. Most people I've known with genius IQs have some strange idiosyncrasies. I guess it's a trade off for being so smart. LOL!

If anyone reaches the stage of a genius, he/she will say, I am a fool. So there is no chance of you getting a proper answer for this question from a true genius.

How do you define genius?
Someone would have to have an IQ of 180 to be certified a genius.
Somebody with an exceptional talent in a certain field is also sometimes classed as a genius.
As i have neither i am not a genius. Being smart does not make you a genius either. Neither does being a member of Mensa.

"Genius is one percent inspiration, and ninety-nine percent perspiration." Thomas Edison
I don't sweat very often so I guess I can't be.
on the other hand;
"It takes a lot of time to be a genius, you have to sit around so much doing nothing really doing nothing." Gertrude Stein
Now, I can spend hours doing absolutely nothing so maybe I could be!

I'm 22 and have an IQ of 126, which falls some way short of genius!
I am intelligent and pick up new things easily. I have a desire to learn, which in turn helps me to learn more and consequentially improves my intelligence, or if not intelligence then understanding.
However, if true knowledge exists in knowing you know nothing, then perhaps then I am very stupid! Though not as stupid as those with higher a IQ than myself!

But of course. There aren't many people I know who have the ability to play any song they hear on the piano just like that, WHILST flaring their nostrils and wiggling their ears, and singing like a cat going through a mangle SIMULTANEOUSLY ... Oh yes ... Genius, I tell thee ...

Everyone know everything because every knows nothing. A true philosopher knows that truth can only be truth because there is no truth. Thus, a genius is someone who admits they know nothing. Anyone who thinks they knowing everything is covering up the fact that they know they know nothing. Anyway, we only know what we know for a reason. What we know is our defined knowledge from the infinite knowledge of the universe, our beliefs. Our attempt at trying to be something out of infinite nothingness.

Exceptional.
Have great influence over others.
IQ above 140=no.
I am genius in some aspects, not in others (namely the iq one).
This is a trick question.
I love trick questions!!
Thus the creative genius part.
Thanks.
Are you going to answer your own question?
Peace.
