Hmmm...the year 1006, in what would become the Low Countries and Great Britain...mussels, fish, brown bread, maybe some kind of leafy green like kale or brussels sprouts. Maybe some apples or pears. Likely some ale to wash it down. Good question!

They ate foods we no longer eat today. Unprocessed, no chemicals, no preservatives and no McDonald's. They didn't have to worry about reading food labels back then. Although their diet was probably high in fat, it was still healthier since it wasn't processed. I bet food tasted a whole lot better then then it does now.
