She's probably talking about the wash and care instructions, in which case, it's pretty self-explanitoty.

If you see a picture of a washing machine, that means it is machine washable.

If the washing machine has an X through it, it is not machine washable.

If you see a picture of an iron, the item can be ironed.

If the iron has an X through it, it cannot be ironed.

ETC., ETC...

But regardless of whether there are little symbols or not, I'm pretty sure there should be written instructions somewhere.

Did you try looking on the back of the tag?

Or perhaps down towards the bottom (if it's a shirt) on the right or left seam? There is most likely a tag there somewhere.

You mean the symbols to tell you how to care for the garment properly? They seem pretty self explanatory to me. Most of the time there's pictures of an iron or a bottle with an X on them so you know not to iron or bleach. Other than that, I'm not entirely sure what you're trying to say...

I understand... The square with the circle means "tumble dry" if it has a cross over it, it means "don't". Then there is a bucket of water with the temperature in it, it is at what temp you should wash it. If that bucket has a hand in it, it means "hand wash". A bottle, means bleach and an iron means "iron" and crosses over them mean "don't". Hope I mentioned all of them. Feel free to ask if there is a specific one I didn't mention.

You would probably be best using a search engine or a a clothing website, if you don't find what you want a washing powder company or other washing related companies, may have the information on their website.

Are you talking about the UPC bar code? That can be used to scan and track the merchandise. See the link below.
