How do we know if we truly love someone?

love to me is sticking by someone through good and bad times. supporting each other, listening to each other, respecting each other. love is being able to laugh together.
love is an emotion that make a person do things that they never thought they could or would to help the ones they love.
there are different types of love, the love of your children and family and friends and the love of someone so special that you begin to wonder how lucky you are to have that person in your life.
love can break your heart like nothing else can. to be in love is like nothing else on this earth.

Love is that warm glowy feeling that causes you to flush just thinking about him. Love is the instant happiness you feel everytime he arrives. Love is the feeling that grows deeper over time until he becomes an extension of you that you can't possibly imagine being without. Love is when he isn't more or less important than your family because he is your family. Love is when after all this time, you still get a warm, glowy feeling when you think about him even though he certainly isn't perfect!

it's an experience that will drain both mind and body off its energy. it's a pleasant experience when things are favorable but when a person is not able to establish a love relationship then starts the worst battle to survive each day. days filled with dejection and disappointment.
so never love someone who does not love you back. love is bullshit in some cases. it can wage wars and build bridges.

You can say, "I Love My Mother" and you know exactly what it is but when you love a person in a diffrent way then you will know exactly what it is. Some think they know, but they have no idea! you are thinking too much, just love someone and don't measure it coz you might have missed the love people give you by calculating it. by the way, you can listen to John Lennon's song "Love", it might help you to find the answer. best luck.

love... hm.. i would say that love is when you feel such strong emotions for someone you are prepared to give them everything you have. But love only works if that feeling is mutual.
