Obviously you are referring to the current war. They're too chicken to try and contain the Taliban within their own borders and have allowed a de-facto Taliban state to be set up within their borders which greatly facilitates their fight against the NATO troops trying to help assert the democratically elected Afghan government control over the country.

I wouldnt say chicken. Its a simple equation Pakistan goes through governments like Paris Hilton goes through pool boys. If Mush goes further against the Taliban he'll be out of there.

Which Afghan war? During Soviet times, the Pakistanis financed the Taliban, offered training, refuge and conduit for supplies.
