these "categories" are called "classes", and are each denominated by a letter of the alphabet. Now do your homework :P

What does that even mean?
There are four octets in IPV4 -- e.g.: 127.0.0.1 (and 8 in IPV6 -- e.g. 2001:0db8:0000:0000:0000:0000:1428:57ab)
