If you are dealing with customers face to face the general rule "the customer is always right" applies, unless the customer is asking you to do something illegal.
If the dealings are by phone, the customer is to be dealt with in a courteous manner irregardless of how the customer is behaving. When you have a customer who is belligerent or difficult it is always best to transfer the call to your supervisor.
Two things never to do to a customer...
1) You telling the customer that he/she is wrong.
2) Hanging up on a customer irregardless of how well or badly they are behaving on the phone.
Both #1 & #2 only serve to make the customer unhappy/angry. The customer could then report you to the manager for unsatisfactory service which in the end could cost you your job. This is especially true when working in retail or restaurants of any variety.

Having worked in a hotel, I can tell you that there are absolutely no limits.... absolutely non at all, It's quite dispiriting really. I mean, some of the things that they do with poo would impress a Turner Prize entrant. And the funny thing is, that the look is actually worse than the smell. And that's just the ladies, what the guys get up to is unbelievable, especially that party of trade unionists! God it was awful and......

The customer is always right?

But you do not have to put up will bad behaviour or insults from a customer and them like wise.

I say treat other people as you would like to be treated.

Limits with regards to what? Please explain what you're trying to ask in a little more detail. As it stands, I'm afraid your 'question' is just a blank statement. //
