Is it just me, or is anyone else wondering why he's open to advice beyond his yes men/women. Going into this war he was controlling of the data that was contrary to his agenda?
The situation with this war has not only taken 1000's of lives, it has united former enemies of the US that were hating the US separately. Now the world knows we don't have troop strength, our enlisted numbers are making goals that have been adjusted downward. If we can't send the additional forces to Iraq can we handle another war zone? Does this expose us to a united Muslim threat?
Military bases & reserve centers are being closed. With a large part of the military force in Iraq being Reservists what message does this send?
The time to make the informed decision was before we got into this quagmire, and most certainly before victory was claimed on the deck of the USS Lincoln.
Reliable Communication and Unity are key ingredients in the war. Is it time to put the United back into the States of America?

There was good intelligence that was suppressed, bad intelligence that was focused on, as hindsight and other commissions have demonstrated.
United Enemies - Enemies that may hate each other, but they hate America more. Enemies that are willing to assist or collude with their enemies in efforts to topple America.
More Troops in Iraq - I'm not saying send more, I'm saying it has been public that we do not have the troops to send. BTW - I was in the military in the 80's & 90's, including the first Gulf war.
Detach and look at the news and what our enemies hear and see. Those that seek diligently for ways to exploit any means necessary to cause our demise.

My thoughts exactly. We are far from united, and it's largely due to bush's stubborness and arrogance-half of us didn't vote for him in the first place, and the conservatives seem to think that they are the only Americans in our country.I just don't get it.

-Bush is "seeking advice" and accepting input from a variety of sources?
You have a problem with this? Or is this a case of damned if you do and damned if you don't?
-The situation with this war has not only taken 1000's of lives,
I guess we should have just ignored WWII?
- it has united former enemies of the US that were hating the US separately.
So now when they are united they are a threat, when they weren't before?
-Now the world knows we don't have troop strength, our enlisted numbers are making goals that have been adjusted downward.
IF our troop strength numbers weren't lowered so drastically post Gulf War there wouldn't be a problem.
-If we can't send the additional forces to Iraq can we handle another war zone?
What makes you think more troops in Iraq is the answer in the first place?
-Does this expose us to a united Muslim threat?
United Muslims? You mean Sunni, Shiite, and Druze are going to agree on anything? That would be even more unlikely than Democrats and Republicans agreeing on how to handle Social Security or Health Care problems.
-Military bases & reserve centers are being closed.
That started under Bill Clinton.
-With a large part of the military force in Iraq being Reservists what message does this send?
Why don't you tell me?
-The time to make the informed decision was before we got into this quagmire,
The logical decision was for the WORLD (aka the UN) to have stopped Saddam's antics long before Bush ever went into office.
-Reliable Communication and Unity are key ingredients in the war.
Reliable intelligence would be better but the previous administration gutted the eyes and ears on the ground for long range surveilance from space.
- Is it time to put the United back into the States of America?
OK When are we going to ban political parties? They are polarizing this country more than ever before.

I have some really reliable information, that says, what is going on is exactly as planned. I watched a video. It gruesome, the 70,000, security force, Rummy and Cheney sent over are conducting ethnic cleansing. Eventually they want enough of Iraq depopulated subdued, uprooted and placed into three mini zones. That they will administer.
Bush is just stalling for time pretending to get all kinds of input as the slaughter continues.

Why is he seeking advice? Because he hasn't a thought of his own. He is the most brain dead president we have ever had, including his father.
