I am attending a Retro themed xmas party this friday and I need some quick, creative costume ideas and I have no idea what to wear.

are you a guy or a girl? that would help to know. anyway, go to your local goodwill store or thrift shop and there are always some tacky retro clothes. good luck!

What kind of retro? 70's, 80's, anything earlier than 90's? Watch some movies! Movie costumes are always classic and easy to recognize

Considering your a girl.....Try a short belle cut dress(short dresses with belle sleeves are SO retro),red or white and a big wide black belt to put around your waist,sparkly high heels(if the dress is white,get red sparkly shoes,it'll look like your daring and totally aproachable at the party) Or if you could find go-go boots like in your grandma's "memory trunk" from your mothers teen years,then wear those!! have fun ; )

if ur a girl-Go as a hair hopper from the 60s. go ask ur mom for some of her old clothes. do you hair up in a large poof! with lots of hair spray. wear heavy dark eyeliner, blue eyeshadow, and white lipstick! have fun and dont get drunk
if ur a guy- go as a greaser, get a bunch of hair gel and grease up, role some dark jeans up and wear chuck taylors. wear a white t-shirt with the sleeves rolled up. finish off with a leather jacket and walaa, there u go.

Great idea for a Christmas party!
If you're a girl you can try on a nice cocktail dress (short or mid) and gloves or a hat..!As for shoes you could wear peep-toes if you like!
Now if you're a boy I don't know maybe trousers and a vest??
