I think you know the answer!!!

By your question you show that you are not very motivated.
All the more reason to do your homework.
Also in maths continual and daily training is important!

Apply yourself!!!

Do half the homework...for example the odds or evens...to prepare for the Daily Five. You might think you understand the work...better to discover you don't on the ungraded homework rather than on the graded Daily Five.

Your teacher has offered you a real treat, don't abuse it. If your teacher sees that everyone is doing poorly on the Daily Five, s/he will start making you do all the homework again...and that would be a bummer.

Absolutely do your homework. Especially with math. The more times you practice something, the better/faster you get at it.

The thing you need to watch out for is practicing a bad habit... make sure you have a way to know if you did the Math correct on your optional problems. If you don't have the answers in the back of the book, I'd ask your teacher if he/she can score your optional problems even if they don't count towards your grade...this way you can learn from your mistakes (not to mention you'll get tons of bonus points with your teacher for asking that).

If thats the case... do the Daily Five...
and then.. do some of the optional Homework. It'll get you ready for future pop quizzes and stuff like that~

You should definitely do your homework. The point of the homework is to prepare you for tests, quizzes, etc. that will be graded. You will find that your graded work will get a lot easier if you do the homework :)

Depends.... if math is a strong subject for you then don't do the homework. If you need more work in math, then do your homework. Math is like anything else.... repetition is the key to learning.

If you have this intense craving for knowledge and this desire to put your skills into practice, then it would be greatly advantageous for you to do the homework. Probably, this is what your teacher wants you to develop within you---to develop a thirst for knowledge.

If you would have asked me this when i was in school, i would have said no. But after going to college...I've come to understand that homework really is for your own good. Do it. It'll help you remember it later!
