Not sure where or who told you that Sweety,but its not true.No one in India is going to try and hurt you just because you belong to a different religion.
India has many many different religion and cultures.
There are lots of Muslims there as well.
Its only a few people in the world out of the millions there are who are so radical and easily manipulated that cause all this trouble.
I am Australian and have the same thing said to me about Egypt, where I spend a lot of time, they say things like "Aren't you scared of the Moslem's". I try not to get angry ,because they are just a bit ignorant and take too much notice of T.V.s portrayal Islamic radicals..
I know its just a few,trouble making factions that the ordinary people dislike just as much. .But some times its best to just smile and say no, "I'm not scared there is no reason to be".
There are so many Indians living in Australia,England the U.S.A. and all over Europe ,remember they all have relatives back in India and tell them what great places they live in.A lot of people there want to leave because of the living conditions and huge population not because its so very dangerous.

there are more Muslims in India then Pakistan. we have a Muslim president. India is the largest democracy and has the highest religious tolerance.
If you are planning to visit , just go and have fun and don't think of stupid things like this

no.. v wont kill you... i dont know what makes u think like that.. in the hindu religion there is a beautiful belief " Athidi Devo Bhava" which means guest is equal to god. V still follow that tradition.
