Absolutely not. The only thing the Falcons need to do is design an offense around him. They need an offense that compliments his abilities. He is not the typical quarterback, never has been and never will be... that's what has made him such a dynamic player. But, he spends most of his time defending the way he plays and the rest of the time trying to make something happen. He needs a line that can give him time, receivers that can catch and an organization that tells the media where to go when they question how he plays! No one wanted him because he was the typical, traditional quarterback... they wanted him because of his speed, scrambling ability and making things happen.

I was at Va Tech when he was there and Frank Beamer knew exactly how to form the offense around him and they were virtually unbeatable. Maybe Vick isn't the problem...they just need Frank Beamer and the va tech offensive coaching staff to go to Atlanta.

He can not play running back. That is a totally different thing than what he does. He scrambles after half the defense is out in coverage and four D-lineman are being blocked. When Dunn gets the hand off he has 11 men trying to tackle him. So if Vick took the hand off like a running back he would be way below average and get hurt.

Vick has too strong an arm and has had too many great moments throwing the ball to be switched to running back. If the Falcons coaching staff would concentrate on making him a better pocket passer, his running would be much more effective. Because of his great running ability, he tends not to look for secondary receivers that coupled with the number of dropped passes has hurt Vick and the Falcons.

I think most of the questions asked about Vick's QB ability should really be directed at his receivers. They tend to make a very good quarterback look like an average one. As for his tendency to run all the time, can you blame him? If you had WR's drop as many passes as he has, you would run too.

He would be excellent if used the way that the Saints are utilizing Reggie Bush now. But it will never happen because Vick wants to be a QB and he has the leverage.

He has too much of an ego not to anything but a quarterback. He would never stand for it even though I think he is a team player.
He holds the team together with his leadership qualities..
