I love lyrics. I spend entire days pulling apart songs. Is this an artform? If it were recognised as a science what would it be? Does anyone have job doing this, and if so how can I kill them and steal their identity?

I don't know if there's a job as such, but it's a good way to spend your time & I know plenty of us do it. Don't you always seem to think that some songs relate exactly to yourself, but when you talk to someone else they have a completely way out idea of what it's all about? I've spent many hours in the past analyzing lyrics with my friends. What are your favourite songs & do you relate them to yourself, or try get into what the person was thinking about while writing them?

I guess being a music journalist and critic would be the closest thing. You're best bet would be try to get a job as a freelancer writing reviews, very competitive, but fun

I think people should be banned from answering with I don't know.... dumb asses...

A friend (Akit) did a music critic course a month ago... didn't really achieve much but he really enjoyed it and think differently about music (but also about writing) I would think your best getting into the media then focus on becoming a critic.... I think it would be writing first and then critiquing.........

Yeppo
... so your good?
