Who's faster? Superman or Flash? If Superman can run faster, or even as fast as Flash, what do we need Flash for?

I can remember a movie where Superman revolved around the Earth at the speed of light. Surely Flash can't run faster than the speed of light can he?

Flash is the fastest man alive and he runs at speed of light so Superman can't run at speed of light but he only runs faster than a speeding bullet. Take my word for it if Flash is not faster than Superman then what is he doing in the justice league think it like that. So yeah Flash wins the race.

Flash is the fastest man alive because he runs at speed of light and Superman can't catch speed of light. Read the comic book about Superman and Flash racing and it will tell you why Flash runs faster than Superman. Superman is an alien but he has soo much power and he only concentrates on flying. Superman flies faster than Mach 5 that is way fast

acording to the comics the flash is faster than superman. The flash can run so fast he can stop the earth from spinning and can even time travel. Their was a comic book race between the flash and superman but noone won. but you can check the stats on dc comics web site.

No. I'd say Flash would be generally faster.
Why? Because if Superman was faster there would be no need for Flash, or any other super heroes. But superman cant be everywhere at once, thus other heroes must be subs for him.

It is the Flash, and here is why:
At the companies, they tend to give the title of World's _____ to whomever has only that power. Superman has super-speed, but since Flash only has Super-Speed, they decided to make him more notable. Or they purposefully weaken a particular power to make it work. Like making Superman only second rate compared to Jay Garrick, Barry Allen, Wally West, or Bart Allen. It's like why the Hulk is the strongest physically at Marvel. Thor, Hercules, Wonder Man, Colossus, and The Thing are pretty tough, but since the Hulk is billed as the strongest, they get pushed back strength wise.

Pre-crisis Superman (before 1985) was a lot more powerful than post-crisis Superman (after 1985). Pre-crisis Superman is faster than Flash, but post-crisis Superman is not.
