Looking at different web pages for an hotel in miami, there are some terms I don't understand:
1) hotel offers "complimentary breakfast" It means it is free?
2) hotel offers valet parking with "in/ out privileges" ?
3) to the valet parking service do you have to give a gratituie each time and how much?
Thanks in advance for assisting me.

Here's my thoughts:

1.) "complimentary breakfast" Yes it's free. Check the hours they're are serving it though. This could mean a cup of coffee, some fruit and an english muffin, since you didn't say "full complimentary breakfast".

2.) "in/out privileges" I believe it means you don't have to pay for parking every time you come and go from the hotel in your car.

3.) "valet parking...gratitude" Yes, it's expected to give them a tip for driving your car to it's parking space. How much? $3-5.00 Whatever you think it's worth. Possibly think about how much the hotel costs you a night and give a percentage, like you would when you leave a tip for the maid or for room service.

Check out iBtraveling.com for some great hotel deals and think about bidding on a hotel with priceline too.

Wish you the best and lots of fun! Miami is awesome!

I hate to say this, but he is playing you for a fool! The rubbish he is feeding to you about his parents, is just BULL! And this "SISTER" is NOT a real SISTER! That's why he broke up with his first wife was beause of his sister. She is someone he is messing around with and apparently they don't want anyone to know what's going on. Why did he have to move in with his sister? Away from "their" parent's house? HMMMM??? He is using his parent's as an excuse. You need to tell this guy to leave you alone because if you don't, you are going to find out the hard way that this relationship is all built on a lie. And this so-called-sister, she is in on it. She is probably someone that his parents don't approve of or she has another relationship somewhere else that she's not telling you about. YOU NEED TO LEAVE!

1: it means it's free and the breakfast usually depends on the hotel, it can be a simple roll with coffee or tea or it could be your choice of anything your heart might desire buffet style.

2: it means they provide valet services to park your car and bring it back to you when you need it (it might be for a flat rate or for gratuity).

3: Tips depend on your generosity and the circumstances but $3 to $5 should be enough.

Yes, complementary breakfast means it is free but it is usually just rolls and jam or something like that.

I'm not sure of the rest but I asume in/out privileges means you take take your car out and put it back in without paying extra. I think you can give whatever tip you want but I would keep in mind the person will be driving your car and you probably want them to drive it nicely.

Why don't you just call the hotel and ask?

Don't expect a fabulous breakfast, it's only a cup of coffee and a little of flakes, and regarding valet parking, it's not free you must give a tip, otherwise they don't treat your car very well..☺

1. It is free.
2. You won't pay each time you drive in and out. Flat daily rate.
3. Gratuities are technically optional but are the right thing to do. $3 should be sufficient.
