She does ' poo' on a daily basis but very little and it seems to be runny. She has changed milk formula recently...to a more easier digestion one. Hoe do you relieve the constipation if she has it? Is this normal?

when my son was 3 months he would only "poo" evry 3 days sometimes 4 i asked my doctor about it and they said it was normal for babys to do that,, but when my first son (who is 3 1/2 now) got constipated they told me to lay him down on his back and push his legs up so that his knees where touching his belly and work his legs as if he was riding a bike.. i was also told to put a warm cloth on his belly,, and rub his belly,, if your baby is a premie like mine then try rubbing his lower belly start from the chest and work your way down slowly,, i was told that premies love this and it helps... good luck...

if your baby's poo is runny it is not constipation ....... when you change your baby's formula this usually happens it should correct it's self in a few days but to relieve constipation you should give cooled boiled water with a little brown sugar

I agree with Katrina- its not constipation if the poop is runny, if its constipation I gave my baby ( recommended by doctor) karo syrup- one teaspoon in 2 oz of water- THAT WILL DO THE TRICK.
Hope I've helped-
Merry Christmas

Same thing happened to my baby when I changed his formula. I'd say use up what you have and change back. In the meantime, offer him some apple juice (1:1 dilution with water). It will help. He doesn't need to drink a lot of it.

I think she would be more likely to be constipated if she hasn't 'poo' in three days, then you would call her doctor. Thats what happened with my son and he is 4 months now.

when you change a forumula this happens. the best thing to do is try to get her to eat some baby applesause. just a few bites should help her. good luck and if this keeps up you should inform her doctor.

Try to include banana in your baby's diet. Banana is high in fibre, therefore eases the passing of stools in the colon. Banana is also high in potassium, may be good for your baby too...
