Martin and Sonia were divorced after her adultery with Naomi, but have been getting close again recently.
Pauline was eavesdropping one night and heard everyone including Martin and Sonia discussing this and other things. She didn't come out of it too well. Later on that night she lit a cigarette and it caught alight in the kitchen.
Martin tried to save her. When she was released from hospital she told Joe and Martin that she was dying from a brain tumour. It was a lie to force Martin to break up with Sonia which worked.
Joe was becoming worried at the lack of news from the hospital and set off to make some enquiries. meanwhile in the Queen Vic Martin blurted out to Peggy, Pat, Jim and Dot that pauline had a tumour. And at the same time Ian was telling Pauline that if she didn't own up and tell Martin she was lying then he would.
Joe arrived home and confronted her saying he knew there was no consultant and realised that there was no tumour.
Kevin Wicks is living with Denise and her awful daughters. They all just came back from a holiday during which time the younger daughter found a pregnancy test kit, Either Carly Wicks, Chelsea or her mother are the main suspects.
Johnny Allen died of a heart attack, he wanted Jake Moon to help him, but as he was dying he said to his cell mate 'get Jake Moon' which the cellmate interpreted as 'kill Jake Moon' Jake hasn't been seen again.
Stacy and her awful brother went to visit their mother after Ruby went to see her first and announced she was engaged to him. This created all kinds of confusion and ended up with Ruby stomping away with Johnnys ashes, vowing to never return.
Big Mo has been having an affair with Joe's horrid friend bert, but this is over now because Bert's ex wife of 38 years ago reappeared and had cancer. On her death bed she confessed that his grandson didn't know he existed and that neither had his daughter.
Ian Beale nearly married Jane except he had discovered her brief affair with Grant and was setting up a fake wedding to humiliate her in front of everyone. Phil found out at the last minute when he opened the bill for the catering and read Ian's note to Peggy saying the Mitchells could foot the bill because he wasn't going to. Phil sent Jane a text message and she didn't turn up to the 'ceremony'. Ian was humiliated instead and they had a mud fight in the square, during which time they realised they had both made mistakes but still loved each other. Pauline was furious with Ian and said Jane was no good and would never be any good.
I really must get out more
