The oldest currently living person in the world (that is known of) was born on August 21st 1891 and is therefore currently 115 years old. His name is Emiliano Mercado del Toro and he's from Puerto Rico.
Yesterday a 116 years old woman named Elizabeth Bolden from the United States died. She was the oldest person in the world, a year and 6 days older than the man who is now thought to be the oldest.

Well, Elizabeth Bolden who was the world's oldest person died yesterday. She was 116 years old. I am not sure who is the oldest one now.

im not sure about current oldest person but i believe the oldest person who ever lived was like 116 or for some reason it could be 127 but i think the first one.

48 hours ago, a 116 yr old woman. She, unhappily is no longer with us soooooooo .... me not know :)
Also maybe of interest I recently read of a group of 5 women in the same retirement community. 4 are 100, the other 101, and two of them still drive. This is awesome and a bit worrying too. My 94 yr old great uncle drives too, which is not as scarey as you'd expect UNTIL he decides to light a cigar. To be sitting in the passenger seat of an old Caddy doing 75MPH while the ancient driver uses both hands and both eyes for an eternity (OK, a minute or so) to ignite his cigar does tend to accelerate the pulse rate a tad!

She is 115 as the other oldest one died today at 116.

well, the oldest living person WAS 116....
not sure who is next in line.....
but the oldest person on record was Methusaleh, died at age 969.
that was quite a few years ago, of course...

The one next youngest till yesterday, now the 116 year old has died! (S/he may be 116+ some months or days, but younger than the newly-deceased was!)
