You have to graduate from a 4 year undergraduate program with a good GPA. You have to take the Med-cat's and score well. You apply to a medical program at a college or university where your academic track record has you as one of the stand out applicants. You complete your medical training and graduate from the college and apply for residence training at a hospital where you serve an additional 3 years. If you survive your residency, you are now able to practice medicine on your own! You're almost 30 years old now ... it's no easy ride!
