I've found the best time to let go is before the flame reaches your fingers.
You were asking about when to let go of a lit match weren't you?
If you're asking about relationships, apply the same rule above, just replace the fingers with the heart.

Yes of course there is .....you can't hang on forever sometimes letting go is the end of the healing process and is a good thing...

Yes...I finally let go of the love that wasn't meant to be...it took me 1.5 years to get over her...but I think I am there now.

Yes, but unfortunatly I would be put in straight jacket if I where ever to do it . But then again it might be worth it for the moment of pure freedom.
