Trent Reznor and Nine Inch Nails are one of the most important and pioneering groups in the last 25 years. Trent Reznor is an absolute studio genius. The first album Pretty Hate Machine was a complete breakthrough and nothing like anyone had heard at that time before. Listen to the density of some of the tracks on "Downward Spiral' The sheer raw emotion and expressive soul bearing on thaty album is astounding. the go to the Fragile and listen to the brilliant dynamics of songs like The Day The Whole World Went Away, Just Like You Imagined, La Mer, Into The Void and Starf*ckers. That album is a sheer soundscape and is teh perfect soundtrack to New Orleans and it's decaying heart.
Then With Teeth came along and was a complete 180 from The Fragile with it's infectious grooves and almoast upbeat songs like Only and The Hand That Feeds. The closing song, Right Where it Belongs is an excellent comment on consumer life and the trappings of suburban living. Brilliant. NIN is teh the heavy weight in my life. So much so i have the logo tattooed on the inside of my left arm.
Don't listen to morons who tell you things like "Dude, get with the times". People like that are dumb, uninformed wastes of DNA. Nine Inch Nails are a great band and Trent Reznor is a true, true genius.

I love NIN, the downward spiral is such a good album, the new one (With Teeth) is awesome too.

dude, u need to get with the times. NIN came out when Right Said Fred and Rico Suave came out. You still like Color Me Badd too, right? If you like old school jams, then try my dogg Biggie Smalls. Biggie Biggie Biggie.....
