my husband is in the army he fell and has nerve damage in his back and is causing his foot to go numb, he loves the army and is afraid he will get chaptered out if he goes for help/ do you think he would be chaptered out or just put on a profile?

it really depends upon how severe it is , it's really hard to get disability from the military , they have some of the best doctors in the world ,he should go have it checked out , yes they will give him a temporary profile , at first , i'm speaking from experience , i served in the ARMY for almost 7 years.

the routine is treatment in the short term, and a board if he cant perform duties due to a permanent injury. He does himself no favors by concealing it, this could damage his chances of disability thru the VA later on.

He should go to a doctor and see the extent of his injury. I doubt the army will kick him out if it is a simple injury. Really!
