most current generation notebooks offer 12.1" widecsreens and 1280 x 800 resolution; should be ample enuf room for work
however if dvd flicks are an important factor, 14.1" widesreen is better viewing
so if u've decided on a 12.1" widescreen notebook, take along a couple of work files u normally work with., a word file & a spreadsheet or excel file should suffice
copy files on cd or pen ( flash ) drive
just open these files on the notebook & see for self
it should'nt strain u'r eyes
one glance at screen should tell u exact !

Choose the middle. I have a 17 inch laptop and too heavy and large. The 12 inch would be pretty small. 14 inch ideal. I have 5 laptops....so I know.

I have a 14 inch laptop and it weighs 2.4 kg. The smaller the screen size the lighter the laptop.

im using one with a 20 inch wide Screen so a 13 inch looks tiny so it all depends on what you are used to

It depends on type of use. For office use 12 " in OK as it is compact and lighttweight. But for home / entertainment use 14.1" Widescreen must have. 17 " notebooks are very bulky and heavy. I also have a notebook that have 14.1" Widescreen TFT .Also todyas new notebook does not have 15" they only have 12" / 14.6" Widescreen / 17"

depends on what you are using the computer for...12 inch is ideal for a portable laptop, it is small and light....if you are going to be using it as your primary computer i would get the largest screen possible...

i just got a dell lap top 15 inch i love it. 13or 14 would be alright. a12 would be to little. i have astigmatism and i like to have large icons and letters,so a larger screen is better for me.

14 is best to view all your applications and to operate it.
