By imaginary friend you mean a friend you found on the Internet?
There can be a variety of reasons and the Internet makes it much easier to say Goodbye than real life. Maybe he found somebody else on the net or in RL. Maybe he was just bored, when he started hanging out with you.
I guess you have to get over it. If he dropped you like that, he must have had his reasons, good or bad, and it will be next to impossible to change his mind.

There is NO such thing as an imaginary friend!
No, I cannot see God but because of what he does for me by answering my prayers, and the joy that he gives and the comfort that HE gives makes HIM very real.
Come to reality and face life! Only with God can this happen with peace and joy and real love.

Maybe you ignored him too much. Imaginary friends dont like to be bossed around either. Just call him up and say your sorry. They're also very forgiving.Or I guess it could be because your sober now.
