I loved it in highschool ('80-'84) and they say the music at that part of your life sticks with you forever. I had an old girlfriend call it "butt rock", but here I am at 40 cranking Ratt, Def Leppard and Motley Crue as loud as I can.
There's nothing like a wicked hair metal song. Favorite all-time is "Locked and Loaded" from Jackyl.

Hair metal! The music, the riffs, the hair, the guitar solos, the synths, the torn jeans, the feelgood factor, the high pitched vocals,-i love hair metal.

Oooo its interesting. Saw a gig on Friday night and one bloke looked like, as my friend claimed

I quite love it, though the whiplash injuries are crazy!

Only losers with no taste hate it. They probably only like commercial jingles, or music that plays that always annoying bass thumping crap. Hair metal..LLLOOVVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
