Call your doctor. Immediatly. I had that all the way through my pregnancy. Had the common symptom of the pretty fireworks **as I called them cause they were kinda cool in a way** as well as seriously swollen ankles legs and feet **to the point that i couldn't wear tennis shoes or any of my other shoes ended up wearing flipflops and slippers until about two weeks ago and I had my daughter six weeks ago.**
I still have high blood pressure occasionaly. But you still need to go see a doctor.

At every doctor's visit, they test your urine for protein and sugar and take your blood pressure. If these have all been normal, there is no reason to believe you have pre-e. The flashes could be a sign of something else. Be sure to bring it up to your doctor at the next visit. Good luck!

No I dont think so, I had it and I felt alwful, like I had been hit by a car or something. My blood pressure was out the roof, I had an eleveted protin level. A non-stopping headake, and couldnt eat anything without getting sick. If your worried, talk to your doctor and share your fears. Best of luck to you and your baby.

the visual disturbances in eclmaptic patients are precursors of seizures from way too high bp.
the 3 main indicators of eclampsia/pre-ec/pregnancy induced hypertension are proteinuria (protein in urine), high blood pressire (more than 140/90) and edema.
You should have yourself checked, since every pregnancy is different. In the last trimester, go for biweekly to weekly checkups so that you can be monitored.

You need to have you BP checked. Please, call your OB or midwife right away.
I always have some visual problems while pregnant (due to increase blood volume in the body), but it can be caused by high blood pressure.
