Jealousy is a very bad thing

I don't think on the whole they are disrespected any more than other players. Sometimes anyone that has a less than perfect opinion of every Italian player is seen as anti Italian also. Why is that ? They, like a lot of other teams have great players and some that are not so great. No one team has 11 best players on it. I think Cannavaro had a great WC and he is a great defender, one of the best, but I do not think he is the best player in the world, that doesn't mean I disrespect him. People are simply voicing there own personal opinions. Figo for example headbutted in the WC, so did Zizou, why is one denigrated so vehemently on the forum and one hardly mentioned? It's just that people have players they like and players they don't and sometimes they have no respect for them and sometimes they do. I think the disrespect to each other here on the forum is at times a bigger, more worrying issue. Again this is only my opinion and will not be agreed with by others. That is in itself the whole point.

Not all italian players are disrespected.Only some like Materazzi.Materazzi deserves only disrespect not only coz of wht he did in th wc 2006 finals but also there are many instances in the past which prove that he has no respect for others. Those who dont respect others will not get respect in return.

ANother reason is Coz they won many of their crucial games by luck or refree's partiality. So people tend to think that they won it unfairly.Unfairness dont get any respect.Morover some Italian defenders are very tough and rough. So the fans of the opposite teams will lose their respect for them

Then i feel that some people like to tease the Italian players coz they make cheesy ads.

I really think it is unfair. I actually only like Cannavaro, Buffon, Totti, De Piero, Nesta and Gatusso in the team but i respect the others except for Materazzi. People here should learn to be more tolerant,

Lol I remember I ever read an article during Euro 2000, Italian players spend amount of money from their own pocket, together, to buy a larger mirror for their change room. WTH

So the answer to your Qs, maybe because Italian players care about their looks as well as their performance on the pitch? Honestly I have nothing against them but Del Piero, he's the most boring Italian footy player I ever watched (apart of Becky)

I think its because few Italian fans here got upset that everyone was saying that italians won by cheating, so they started insulting Zidane n other great players, so the began the great Italy-France war

Bambola said it.

We dont see anyone disrespecting the Spanish , Brazilians , Chinese or anyone.

Italians r the world cup champions that's why they keep on insulting them.

I think it is because of their supporters and fans. For example, you. You support Italy and i have seen all your insults and remarks on this forum. They don't show you as decent.
