All perfumes have "smell life", 6-11, 11-24, read the stats on your particular brand. Don't put your perfume directly on your skin if you want it to stay longer, spray then wlk thru the spray. Here is a great link for Perfume purchase and information about the smell life of each one. www.FragranceNet.com

Fragrance comes in three different forms, varying in oil content: perfume (highest concentration of oil and most expensive); eau de toillete (next highest concentration and somewhat expensive but affordable); and cologne (mostly alcohol based with some oil in it...relatively inexpensive).

The higher the oil content, the longer your fragrance will last. It is true that you become accustomed to your own fragrance throughout the day so it *seems* like the scent has worn off. But if you're using either perfume or eau de toillete, chances are everyone else can smell your fragrance but you've just gotten used to it.

A good way to make your fragrance last longer is to *layer* your scent. Use body lotion and powder in the same scent as your perfume or eau de toillete. This has the added benefit of giving complexity to the scent. Dab the fragrance in your *warm spots.* These are pulse points around your body: behind the ears, in the crook of your elbows, behind your knees, on your lower abdomen, on your wrists. Don't rub your wrists together; this "crushes" the scent...breaks it down faster, making it last a shorter time. Also, you can put a very small amount of fragrance into your palms, pat them together quickly and then rub your hands through your hair.

There's no need to douse yourself in fragrance, regardless of which form you use. To do so will only annoy those around you. It also may cause people with allergies to suffer unduly. My rule of thumb is that nobody should be able to smell you beyond 2 feet away. Fragrance is an intimate thing and should only be shared close up.

Perfume should not be smelled by the person wearing it. It should a suttle smell that comes off your body through out the day for those around you to smell. Don't spray perfume on your clothes. After showering, spray 3-4 squirts in your hand and pat it on your body. Some good places to put it are behind the ear, back of the neck and around the collar bone.

It does stay on, you get used to the fragrance and you can not smell it any longer, but others can. It soaks into your skin and gives off a different fragrance than what you started out with from the bottle. All perfumes, colognes, fragrances adapt with your personal odour. What smells one way on you may not be the same fragrance on another person due to the body chemicals we are born with. Do not put on more, it may offend people.

It does. When you wear perfume, you get used to the smell and you end up not being able to smell it but it is there!

Oil-based perfumes last longer on your skin than alcohol-based perfumes, so if you want longer lasting perfume, then look at the ingredients and choose an oil based one.

It could one of 2 things. Either you have smelled it all day and become immune to the smell which is still there, or your buying the really cheap stuff.

you might want to put more on, but it does stay on. you just get so used to the scent that you dont notice its there. just like you get used to your own smell.

Mine doesn't last long either, but someone told me to put lotion on first then spray purfume. I also spray it on my hair and clothes. Hope this helps
