The periods are endless Oh to have a time machine,
Not to stay just to visit a trip on Noah's Arc to help feed the animals, then perhaps see Moses part the sea, also to witness the making of some of the objects we see in the British museum,
to hide with Robin Hood in Sherwood Forest, moving swiftly on to Elizabeth lst reign and see Sir Walter Raleigh get knighted, and see the Armada, go to a Shakespearean play at the Globe then perhaps move on to the industrial revolution to see all the new inventions and meet J Wedgwood and he could teach me to make a pot, then on to Victorian England, (upper Class) and attend a lavish banquets in one of the beautiful homes of the well to do, the roaring twenties seems like fun and I would finish my trip with a visit to the sixties so I could say I can't remember it as I was stoned.

Post Carolingian Europe just enough of national identity to know where you belonged and to have some social cohesion but still had Vikings, Witches, Millenarianists, belief in almost all of the supernatural, warrior Kings, Emperor's. Basically an amalgam of all the interesting parts of history. but definetly just a visit, not a great time relatively speaking for the mass of the population.

Honestly I do not trust History as fact. The Neanderthal period would have been groovy cause there was not any of the Social Acceptance garbage.
Favorite Period as I was taught? Egypt: Kufu; China Chang;Persia Sadhata.
Egypt Kufu: becuase they were rather open
China Chang; Cause they were searching for knowledge
Persia Sadhata: Cuase that dude had it figured out.

It has to be the early - mid 18th century, the "Age of Satire" in England... it was probably one of the few times in the whole of our history when we didn't take ourselves too seriously and just had a good laugh. Would definitely visit, get to meet Donne, Pope, Swift, Dryden, all the great satirists. Living there, though, with Catholic uprisings, plagues still rampant, war with France on the horizon, probably not.

From 1800 till now is my favorite period in history because, discoveries / inventions started gaining momentum from this period and each one is acting as a stepping stone for another one thereby bringing comfort and prosperity to the mankind. Electricity, motors, telephone, telegraph, fax, gramaphone, tape recorders, radio, television, fax, computers, cellphones etc, etc are giving even a lay man better comfort that the royal kings of the olden days with air condition, fans etc, etc.

i would like to visit the Faeroe's era and try to discover their secrets and understand how they lived their lives.
but i do not want to go and live in any era other than now. because i know through out history societies were not fair towards women, i know they are still not in a way but for sure it is better than before.

19th Century, the time saw incredible changes in society and developments in industry. If it wasn't for this period the town in which I have lived all my life would have been a small village.
