Google has nothing to do with it. Your browser has been hijacked. Remove your malware and it'll be fine.

Reality check - everyone uses google - yahoo, ask, etc... they all use the google engine anyhow - ask anyone in the industry.
The truth is that google are way ahead on the search engine front and no-one can rival them - using the old adage, 'if you can't beat them...' everyone else has joined them. Even if it doesn't look like google and the results differ a little. Any serious SEO pro will be looking to get rated on google 'cos everyone else will automatically follow...
I don't think google have hijacked your PC...but...
Check your internet options and if your worried about hijacking get 'HiJackThis' you can get it here for free : http://www.cassette2cd.co.uk/downloads2.php
Hope this helps_ trust google, they are your friend....

When you install the Google toolbar...or the Yahoo toolbar for that matter...both search engines want to setup their respective engine as the default for all searches from your computer.

If you don't tell them not to set it up as the default search engine...it will become the default for all searches.

Look under "Toolbar options/more"
Untick the first box on top of the list.

Why would you want to use Yahoo over Google? I find that the results on Google are usually far more relevant.
