IT's too much hassle to go out at xmas & new year, one of you has to stay sober - or pay £100 for a cab!!! And then there's the yobbo issue, too much violence in the towns these days! Stay at home & get bladdered then you aint gotta worry about where you are - or who you're with in the morning after!!!
We're staying put this year especially as we've just had a baby 3 days ago.

My father is a firefighter and years of New Year's Eve horror stories(and pictures) kept me in on that one night every year. About 7 years ago my husband and I moved into a great neighborhood with a great sense of community. On New Year's Eve 5 different neighbors host a themed party for 1 hour. We all walk from one house to the next every hour until we reach midnight.
Last year's theme was overseas countries. One house was decorated and in Moroccan theme and had Moroccan foods another was France and had French food and decorations.
The whole thing is really great because there is no driving and the conversations between house are out of this world.
After calling in the midnight hour and sipping champagne, we simply WALK 1 block and you are back in your house....No driving required.

I used to think you HAD to go out for Hogmany but have recently realised I enjoy a night in more. Get soom booze in, good friends round or just you and your fella (also fun but the time we done that we concived our son LOL cos I was mucking about with the pill to ensure I wasn't on over the holiday season DOH!)
Anyway, booze, music, mates and the TV on for the Bells! I think I'm going to get a DVD game this year for a laugh!
Think of the pros, no tickets to buy, no over priced drinks, no smelly pubs over crowded so the owners make pleanty money, no double time cabs home!
Have a good one whatever you decied!

i'm staying living house and welcoming a pair friends over... staring at some videos, taking section in some board video games and with somewhat of success having an excellent new years eve. i'm fending off each of the golf equipment, there are too many fights and loopy human beings out on new years... i am going to keep going out for yet another evening!

These days the safest thing to do is to stay in. Invite some close friends over, throw something on the grill and get as drunk as you want.
You'll never have to worry about spending too much or getting a DUI. If anyone gets too wasted they can sleep on the couch.
Stay safe.

Honestly I don't know, but I would stay at home and get wasted, listen to the stereo. Maybe start off the evening with a bit of drinking, then move on to the hallucinagenics, then see in the sunrise with a nice joint

Were staying in this year, the pubs are too crowded and it takes forever to get a drink, taxis are over priced that's if you can get one, going to have a party at home this year with some of our friends and Polish neighbours instead.

Done the right thing this year. Having a party new year that will last for a couple of days. My invited guests have chipped in for the clean up crew this year and i`ve booked myself and the girlfriend a couple of day`s in the sun with friends, straight after, so the cleaning up process will be taken care of in our abscence. Come home reaxed, and to a spotless house. Perfect.

Me. I quit going out drinking on holidays the halloween I parked my automobile vertically in a ditch then staggered around the county deputy while waiting for the tow truck whining about how I wasn't a menace to society and all.
