It's excellent! Being a Dubliner, I have to admit that Cork and surroundings are far better than Dublin. While Cork city might lack the elegance of Dublin's Georgian streets, it compensates in the friendliness of the people. The county of Cork is extremely fine - it's easiest to tour in a car (although possible by Bus eireann and other operators).

truly must be galway... lodge sensible there are plenty... there's a city in east county galway called Ballinasloe that's an exceptionally large base for the full u . s . a .. Dublin is in basic terms a million hr and a a million/2 away and galway is 30 minutes away... even in ballinasloe there is plenty to do from fishing and boating to track and walking... resorts in ballinasloe incorporate shearwater lodge and gullanes

Yes, it is. My mom's family is from there. When I was about 14, I got a chance to go there with my grandmother. I was able to see where she was born, etc...Of course, that was almost 30 years ago. But, it was awesome...
