i want to know some techniques to detect carbon di oxide such as change of colour of some salt etc

A snooper for air conditioning systems might work for carbondioxide. It is made for halides,but I think it is triggered by dioxides as well.

bubble CO2 into limewater(calcium carbonate solution) and the clear solution will form a white precipitate (looks cloudy). :D
