Kristen is correct... you need to urinate after intercourse. During sex bacteria can be forced into your urethra (opening to the bladder). Urinating after sex will flush the bacteria out. This (UTI) is actually a common problem for women and easily avoided. The yeast infection may be related to the BF... use a condom (you should anyway!) to reduce the chance of reinfection. Also, talk to your doctor because this can happen when you are on antibiotics and/or not eating enough good bacteria like you find in yogurt. Your vaginal ph levels may be off. So... use a condom, pee after sex and eat yogurt with live cultures (it will say it on the container). Good luck!

If you have been on ATB for UTI and have been treated for a yeast infection, your boyfriend should have been treated for the yeast infection too.
What is sounds like is he also has the infection and he is passing it back to you.
He needs to go to the doctor and get treated too. You will continue to pass the infection back in forth.
Also, You mentioned using a latex condom. You may have an allergy to the condom. You also need to talk to your MD about this.
Ask him not to use saliva, use a lubricant until you can figure out what your problem is.
If he loves you, he will understand. If he does not understand, I am not sure he is the person for you. Your health should come first.

Hello, I'm on the second week and seeing definite improvement on my yeast infection symptoms:

Note that: If the yeast infection doesn't respond to over the counter treatment, prescription medication will likely be necessary. Similarly, if the symptoms return after two months of being treated, you should contact the doctor for professional treatment rather than resorting again to home treatment.

If this is the first time you have experienced a yeast infection, you should schedule an appointment to have the condition treated by a doctor instead of resorting to home treatment

Hi..sounds like an allergy to the condom. Ask your gynecologist for a few samples of an alternative material condom and try some warming lubricant. You'll both prefer it to saliva I'm sure.If your sex is unprotected, both UTI and yeast infections can be sexually transmitted.

Make sure you are using the bathroom before and after and have him clean himself. He could also be passing the yeast infection back to you everytime. UTIs are common after sex if you don't pee afterwards.

I suggest you use a condem for awhile until your boyfriend gets checked and cured for the STD he picked up from another girl. Better yet, get rid of him.
