Most of the Toshiba laptops have an inernal modem. You have tell the specific model of Toshiba laptop that you are using, then only can I let answer your querry with precision.

u can chek it by goin to control panel->Phone and Modem options->Modem tab->and chek if theres a modem listed in there.If your laptop has a internal modem(which should be there,because i have a toshiba satellite) it will be listed there.
