Size - I have seen from 0.5cm to 2.0cm length of caterpillar climbing on the walls.
Coccoon colour greyish, &
edges turn out blackish when size increases.
Never come out of cocoon completely.
Location - Near Mumbai (India).

Sorry the link didn't help you. It is definitely a moth Class- Lepidoptera; Family- Lacosomipae The sack bearing caterpillar.
I failed to notice before that you were from Mumbai (India). I would recommend that you contact your University Entomology Department there to identify the caterpillar properly
