But I think that they are always in fashion.

Yes, pointed heels have stayed in fashion for more than 60 years. And I don't think they are going to go out of fashion anytime soon, because the longer toe makes a woman's legs look longer and thinner, and they are considered a very sexy style.
Like any style, some people love them, some people hate them.

Meaning the heel is pointed, or the toes are? I love the classic skinny heel, but I really don't like the pointed toe high heels that make your foot look like it's 20in long

Probably, but I hate them and really do not think they look very flattering on anyone.
I like high heels just not the pointed toes.
Where did anyone get that idea??? Our feet are shaped like that...at least none that I have ever seen.

I think that they are like everything they go out and then they come back in, so I'd say yes. I do wear them but they aren't really that good for your feet, but providing you are not in 24/7 its fine
