I recently watched a film on a plane about a true life inspirational teacher based in the USA. I am sure Robin Williams played the role of the inspirational teacher. This teacher now has set up an academy in America and I am trying to find the website for this. Does anyone know the name of this teacher?

The only thing I can think of is Patch Adams, though Robin Williams was a doctor who inspired patients with laughter. The story was based on a guy REALLY called Patch Adams, who founded the The Gesundheit! Hospital Project.

Samuel F. Pickering Jr is the teacher that the character was based on. The film is the Dead Poets Society.

The 2 I'm thinking of are Patch Adams (he was a doctor in this that made people laugh).
The other one is Good Will Hunting, he played a teacher in this alongside matt Damon, excellent film

I know the film you mean, he made all the patients laugh and that was the medicine.
I cant remember the name of it though.
