depends on the network.

A wireless B will run at 11 Mbs
a Wireless G can (but doesn't) run up to 54 Mbs

There are Super G and Pre-N that say they can run up to 108 Mbs, but you can count more on 54 Mbs.

That depends upon ur devices & topology.
According To IEEE standered
802.11 b --- upto 11 mbps
802.11 g ---- upto 54 mbps.
But real speed may not be same becuse of distance & other losses. When you opt for an wirless device such as Wi-Fi card
or accesspoint first check the standered it support.

Normally you should not expect to see throughput any higher than 30% - 40% of the rated maximum speed.
