unattractive supervisor (or even co-worker)

2006-12-11 22:26:19 · update #1

I'm not interested in this guy, he's unattractive... not even him in particular. I general would see it as going out as friends, not a date... but so I should be wary that he has different ideas if it's only us two eh?

It all depends on his motives if it is to get more than friendship forget about it but if it is a friendly drink theres no harm if you decide to go but tell your boyfriend and ask how he feels and if it is ok with him first if he does not approve respect him and dont go .Dont put your relationship and yourself at risk.

By simply asking this question, you have your answer. If you truly valued your relationship with your boyfriend, then you wouldn't be asking for advice about your supervisor's proposition. Cut your "boyfriend" loose and just date freely...you are obviously not committed to him. Nothing wrong with that...it's called being honest.

Go only in a group. Inviting you to do anything amounts to making a date with you. I recommend don't get involved. You have a good excuse. Tell him "my boy friend would not understand and would not like it."

I guess it's okay to have a drink to show politeness, but make sure you won't drink too much. A simple friendly drink and just that.

If you have to ask if it is ok then guess what? It is not ok seems like a train wreck is coming

In a group, yes.
Otherwise, not such a good idea.

If it's just you and him, don't go. It'll be construed as cheating.
