Objectively,I feel that Scholes is a more complete midfielder than Lampard.Yes,Scholes sliding tackles aren't great but Lampard isn't that defensive either.Scholes has a much better range of passing.He's much more aware of the idea of team play.Lampard is given a bit more freedom by Jose Mourinho.
And you talk about Lampard's shooting and scoring from far? Nothing we've never seen from Scholes' before.He's proven it time and again.He's scored bucketloads for Man Utd,just like Lampard is doing now.
Lampard may be the new Scholes.But Scholes is definitely more 'complete' and in my view,that makes him better than Lampard.
