Everybody is paid to do a good job, so you have to step beyond that. Try to do things beyond your job description (that wouldn't offend anyone else). Spearhead a project or make useful suggestions to the head :)

Show up on time or early.Stay late. volunteer to help. Always finish your work on time. Be nice. Dress professionally.
