Almost any of the Beatles/McCartney love songs sound excellent on an acoustic guitar as he wrote many of them in just that manner. "Here, There, and Everywhere", "Norwegian Wood", "In My Life", "And I Love Her", and "Something" (George Harrison) come to mind.

One that you write with some plucking on the verse and some strumming for the chorus and words that say what you want to say from the heart.

"Wonderful Tonight" by Eric Clapton -or- "Something" by the Beatles would sound wonderful on an ACOUSTIC guitar, even with no other instruments playing.
