Already Shariah Finance is taking over the world of Finance. Prejudice and false pride will only hurt YOU. The Europeans who drew the cartoons about The Prophet lost millions in revenue after their products were boycotted by musims the world over... Small towns in as far as Africa put up notices in mosques not to buy their products.... Jungle anyone?

Capitalism is a form of government
They have nothing to do with each other!
There are a lot of Islamic people world wide that are very wealthy because of Capitalism.
Capitalism does not treat any religion differently.

No. Muslims depend on too many things invented in or produced by capitalistic, industrial countries. Their own backwardness is mandated by their "religion", so the possibility of Islam replacing capitalism is an impossibility not only for that reason but also because Islam is not an economic system, it is an ersatz "religion" which unfortunately has terrorism, death and destruction as an element. Most free market enterprises are not attracted to the idea of being killed or destroyed. Islam needs to exist along side of capitalist nations, it cannot replace the capitalist free market system with a guerilla movement that advocates destruction. People just won't buy it.

Because of perception and where you stand, it is usually not easy to answer this kind of question and get your answer accepted in good faith. And that is why all answers so far are full of prejudice and pride and bad language. This is however my summary delivery;
1] (I agree that) Islam and capitalism are two entirely different things. That is why for example Communism got killed and all efforts to do same to Islam have so far failed. Your analogy is therefore baseless.
2] (I disagree with) the analogy between Danish products and oil by one respondent. While millions of Muslims could boycott Danish products, the West dare not boycott oil. This is the truth.
3] There definitely will be Islam either during or after capitalism, socialism, communism or any other "ism", for Islam is not an ideology or form of government. It is a faith and it is not easy to kill a faith. For Islam, time has showed that it is impossible.
4] Let us drop our "prejudice and pride" and accept this objective truth.

Islam is destroying itself as fast as it hurts others. Just what did you boycott that hurt anyone? The Pope is the leader of the Catholic church but not the leader of any country. Why is it that Muslims get all worked up if someone says something you don't like but you feel it is alright for Muslims to burn Bibles and denounce Christianity?

as long as there are liberals like pelosi who constantly preach politcal correctness rather than survival...you can bet on it. the problem is liberals who are in power now, look at popularity polls and not at whats right. unfortunately this backs the power of the govt to restrict the aggresive nature of islam and you can clearly see the dark clouds on the horizon of it getting worse..much worse.

Islam in its present form is too backward looking to be of any appeal to non-muslims. It needs something like the Christian Reformation to become more acceptable in the 21st century.
