I want to know if you can actually buy and sell stocks on the yahoo finance website.

no~ You can only research. It would be a good idea for them to put a system since many people use the website.

Hi,
Good for research. Cybertrader and Scottrade are the two best to start with. Compare them for what is best for you. If you want to day trade - buy and sell stocks regularly and not holding some then Cybertrade has a by the share % which probably would be better.
The most valuable talent an investor can have is to know when to sell. Anyone can pick a good buy but too many people when broke not wanting to take their losses.

No. you have to go through a brokerage firm. There are several that advertise at the finance site.

No. schwab.com, TD Ameritrade. All the same if just trading.
